En la primera parte de la publicación, Horacio Capel trata sobre la historia del patrimonio, su papel en la creación del pasado y su complejidad creciente. En la segunda se refiere al patrimonio industrial y a su similar complejidad; y se exponen los resultados de cinco simposios internacionales organizados por Geocrítica sobre historia de la electricidad. Al final se concluye que el patrimonio es fundamental para la construcción del futuro.

La colección «La herencia recuperada», fruto de la colaboración de INCUNA y Cicees Ediciones, junto a otras Instituciones, ofrece investigaciones, ensayos y propuestas dirigidas al lector interesado en el patrimonio industrial, cultural y natural en todo el mundo.

En esta ocasión, se realiza una edición bilingüe. Los textos se publican en castellano e inglés y la distribución de la publicación impresa y digital se realiza en países de los cinco continentes.

In the first part of his release, Horacio Capel deals with the history of heritage, its role in the creation of the past and its increasing complexity. In the second, he refers to industrial heritage and its similar complexity, and the results of five international symposia organized by Geocritica on the history of electricity are presented herein. At the end he concludes that heritage is essential for shaping the future.

The La Herencia recuperada (Heritage Recovered) Collection, the outcome of the collaboration of INCUNA and Cicees Ediciones, together with other institutions, offers studies, essays and proposals aimed at the reader interested in industrial, cultural and natural heritage throughout the world.

This time a bilingual edition has been made. The texts are published in Spanish and English, and the distribution of the printed and online editions is being carried out in countries in all five continents.
