La historia de la economía argentina es un tema de interés por conocidas razones. Si bien existen excelentes trabajos, esta obra se distingue por dos motivos. El primero es la visión de largo plazo, desde el siglo XVI a la actualidad. El segundo es la conjunción de investigadores de trayectoria con jóvenes promisorios, en fructífero diálogo. El resultado es un texto que acerca al lector las claves interpretativas de los procesos de corto, medio y largo plazo en diferentes aspectos (producción, moneda, comercio, salarios, transportes, etc.), así como una comprensión de las coyunturas y la actualidad.The history of the Argentine economy is a subject of interest for many well-known reasons. While there are some excellent works, this work stands out for two reasons. The ? rst is the long-term vision, from the 16th century to the present day. The second is the combination of experienced researchers with promising young people, in fruitful dialogue. The result is a text that provides the reader with interpretative keys to the short-, medium-, and long-term processes in different aspects (production, currency, trade, wages, transport, etc.), as well as an understanding of the current situation and the present day.
