José Luis Gómez Toré (Madrid, 1973) ha publicado los poemarios Contra los espejos (1999, Premio Blas de Otero), Se oyen pájaros (2003) y He heredado la noche (2003, accésit del Premio Adonais). Como ensayista es autor, además de diversos artículos sobre teatro y poesía contemporánea, de La mirada elegíaca. El espacio y la memoria en la poesía de Francisco Brines (Pre-Textos, 2002), Premio Internacional Gerardo Diego de Investigación Literaria. La compañía teatral El Tinglao ha llevado a escena su obra infantil Lluvia pregunta por el Sol, publicada en 2004 en la revista Ophelia.
