Este poemario reformula la reflexión sobre el paso del tiempo y la evanescencia de la existencia humana. Laten al fondo ecos de que ve do, o de catulo y Lucrecio cuando se trata del amor. Aparte de erotismo encontramos, como en los son et os de Shakespeare, una reflexión sobre el amor y la poesía como forma de eternizar. Destaca la coherencia entre la angustia inicial por el paso del tiempo y ese tiempo que se detiene en el beso.
Antonio Rivero Taravillo nació en Melilla en 1963 y reside desde la infancia en Sevilla, donde ha sido librero, editor y articulista. Ha publicado tres novelas y varios libros de viajes, ensayos y aforismos, a los que hay que sumar ocho colecciones de poemas, premiadas biografías de Cernuda y Cirlot y traducciones de muchos de los más importantes poetas en lengua inglesa, incluidas las de las poesías completas de Shakespeare y Yeats. Dirige la revista Estación Poesía.
