LUIS MUÑOZ (Granada, 1966) es autor de Septiembre (1991), Manzanas amarillas (1995) premio Ciudad de Córdoba , El apetito (1998), Correspondencias (2001) premio Generación del 27 y Ojo Crítico , y Querido silencio (2006). Su obra hasta 2005 está incluida en el volumen Limpiar pescado. Poesía reunida. Dirigió, entre 1992 y 2002, la revista Hélice. Ha editado el volumen El lugar de la poesía (1994), y ha traducido, entre otros autores, a Giuseppe Ungaretti y una selección de poetas británicos de la llamada New Generation. Desde 2012 es profesor en la Universidad de Iowa, Estados Unidos, y vive entre Iowa City y Madrid. Su escritura explora lo irrepetible de cada cosa, la duración, el aislamiento, la falta, la transformación con los otros, la presión de la memoria, el origen como el lugar al que se vuelve y la potencialidad de las sensaciones que por decirlo con palabras de André Gide son de una presencia infinita . El intenso simbolismo de sus poemas se construye sobre una tupida red de conexiones horizontales y verticales. La poesía ha señalado trapichea en esa frontera que puede separar lo lógico y lo realista de lo irracionalista y lo metafísico . Vecindad es su sexto libro de poemas.
