It was 17 years ago that an ESCOP meeting was held in Spain. At that time Cognitive Psychology was represented by a small number of researchers that were courageous enough to organs the meeting. From that time on, Spanish Cognitive Psychology has enjoyed a chromatic growth. The number of Spanish researchers that usually publish high quality articles a prestigious international journals, attend scientific meetings and co-operate and collaborate European research projects, has increased considerably. Hence it is a joy for all the Spanish Cognitive researchers to host the meeting of The European Society for Cognitive Psychology of which they are active members. Beyond the Spanish scientific development, the progressive interest for a common scientific and education space in Europe is also notable if we attend to the increasing number of submissions and registrations along the last ESCOP meetings, reaching around 900 people registered in the Granada meeting. This is a clear landmark of a remarkable growth of interest in a common European project for Cognitive Psychology
