The textbook is designed for foreign students learning Russian at B2-C1 of the CEFR (TORFL II-III Certificate levels), and is intended for a self study and for classroom studies with a teacher.

It is intended to develop foreign students' listening skills based on adapted and unadapted texts of Russian mass media. The exercises in the book will help to widen students' vocabulary, systematise grammar rules, develop and practice their skills of listening and understanding of the journalistic style texts.

The book provides text assignments on spoken Russian to test the students' understanding of the covered material.

It comes with a DVD and an answer key.
